Credentials. My Ph.D. is in psychology from U.C., Berkeley, and I am licensed as a clinical psychologist to practice psychotherapy in New Mexico (0965) and California (PSY4223). I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 40 years, eight of those years in Taos.
Approach. Although I draw from many approaches, those I have found most effective are DOBT (Depth Oriented Brief Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Mindfulness is at the heart of each approach. The problems I see most are depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, over-reactive emotions, and trauma.
